Supplementary information may be required when reporting notifiable occurrences that relate to track worker safety occurrences. This requirement will be in place for 12 months to enable the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) to collate more detailed information in regard to its focus on track worker safety.
In accordance with Regulation 57 of the Rail Safety National Law National Regulations 2012 (reference to WA Regulations), from 9 September 2019 when reporting an occurrence that did, or had the potential to, impact the safety of a rail safety worker rail transport operators your will be required to:
- provide the additional information associated with the occurrence within 14 days of the notification of the occurrence; and
- submit this information via the ONRSR Portal
